Carl Poe Company, Inc. was started by Carl Poe, who had a 30 year career with United Gas. When his son, Carl W. Poe, graduated from the University of Houston in 1965, the two men formed Carl Poe Company. In 1972 the business was incorporated and has continued to grow into a highly respected part of the natural gas industry.
In the 1970's we became a distributor for Elster-American Meter Company and also were contracted to manufacture their Wet Test Meter. In the 1980's we purchased and began production of the Lo Flo Fuel Oil Meter, which was designed by American Meter and is still manufactured by us today.
Carl Poe Company is a stocking distributor of Elster-American Meter Company products for Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kansas. We offer meter calibrations and repairs of all types of natural gas meters, sales and technical support of new American Meter Company meters and regulators, manufacture and repair of the American Wet Test Meter as well as manufacture and repair of our own Lo Flo Fuel Oil Meter. Our large inventory of American Meter products is located at our facility in Houston, TX, near downtown. Our meter shop continues to be a top quality facility with American SNAP and Bell provers and an experienced, well trained crew.
